Bodies demand TET centres at district Hqs

Different Student bodies of hill districts have warned the State Government that it will initiate any type of agitation if necessary action is not taken up for issuing TET forms at respective hill district headquarters and postponement of TET examination scheduled to be held on September 19. Union, Manipur, Senapati District Students Association, Chandel District Students' Union and Churachandpur District Students Union demanded the government to issue TET forms and arrange examination centres at respective district headquarters with respect to hill districts.
'Maintaining that action would be initiated against those candidates who ac quire forms from the counters opened at Imphal, the student bodies also demanded for postponement of the TET examination slated for September 19. Meanwhile, Naga Students' Union, Chandel has also urged the Education Minister and BSEM authority to issue TET forms and arrange examination centres at respective district headquarters with respect to hill districts.
Saying that candidates from hill districts have to halt two-three nights in Imphal to acquire a single form, the union said that opening of additional counters at the State capital would not solve the problems being faced the candidates coming from hill districts.
The union warned that the Education Minister and BSEM authority must held responsible for any untoward incident if necessary steps are not taken up before September 19 .
