Tamenglong VACCs demands direct implementation of MGNREGS

Tamenglong, October 16 2015 : Village Authority Chairmen Councils (VACCs) of Tamenglong on Friday resolved to demand direct implementation agency of MGNREGS through DRDA Tamenglong.

The decision came during a joint meeting of VACCs of Tamenglong district on Friday at Zeliangrong House, Tamenglong.

While briefing the media persons after the meeting, Hukamang Gangmei, president of Chairman Association Tamenglong said that the Nodal Agency of MGNREGS was in Imphal and demanded that the nodal implementing agency should directly deal with respective DRDA in all hill districts.

"This is the resolution of all hill districts of Manipur.

We will take up necessary steps", he said.

He also informed that the meeting seriously took note of the situation in Churachandpur district.
