BJP asked to clarify on posting CADA pics

Imphal, January 15 2022: Condemning the alleged posting of pictures of CADA awareness programme in the BJP Manipur Facebook page as their achievements, Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) has demanded that BJP Manipur Pradesh clarifies and apologises to the Coalition.

In a release, publicity secretary Khun-dongbam Anand recalled that CADA along with Kshetri Leikai Apunba Meira Paibi, Kshetri Leikai Apunba Club and Thoubal District United Women's Organisation (Thoubal Ima) organised an awareness programme as a part of its campaign 'Election da mayai kaba nisha pak sanna sijinnaba thingnaba meeyam gi thoudang' on January 10 at Thoubal Kshetri Leikai Haotabi Lampak.

It is unfortunate that the photo of the awareness programme was posted in the 'BJP Manipur' Facebook page under the heading 'The BJP govt's war on drugs' gains momentum' and mentioned as 'Anti-drug awareness campaign held at Thoubal district' thereby creating confusion among the people.

The campaign of CADA against drug and alcohol has been misled by BJP as their political campaign and achievement without actually doing work and simply taking the photos of activities done by others, he contended, while reiterating that BJP Manipur Pradesh should clarify and apologise to CADA.
