Amazon study reveals surge in online festive shopping intent

A study conducted by Ipsos Research for Amazon India highlighted growing enthusiasm for festive shopping, with 89 per cent of respondents expressing excitement for the upcoming season and 71 per cent planning to shop online.
According to a statement from Amazon India, nearly half of online shoppers intend to spend more than last year, a trend observed in both metro and tier-2 cities.
Amazon remains a preferred online destination, trusted by 73 per cent of respondents for their festive shopping needs, thanks to its wide product selection, attractive deals, and reliability.
The festive season plays a pivotal role in shopping decisions across India, with convenience, speedy delivery, trust in product authenticity, and affordable payment options driving the shift toward online shopping.
Both Amazon India and Ipsos emphasise the importance of the festive season for consumer engagement and retail growth.
