Fish hatchery complex inaugurated

Imphal, March 14 2018: Along with inaugurating a fish hatchery complex, Professor Dinabandhu Sahoo, Director of Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Takyelpat laid the foundation stone for a State of the art commercial tissue culture and hardening facility at Bioresources Park, Haraorou, Imphal East today.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the event, Prof Sahoo informed that the multiple structures at the park are low cost real sustainable development models built by the scientists and technicians of IBSD.

He said that IBSD challenged many difficulties at the initial stages of developing the multiple structures.

He elaborated that this hi-tech tissue culture facility will provide 8 lakhs high quality planting material of bananas, orchids, pineapples, ginger and some medicinal and aromatic plants.
