UTLA demands punishment for culprits

Imphal, October 13 2018:
The United Tribal Liberation Army, an armed wing of Kuki National Organisation has condemned the frequent brutal acts of abducting the workers of Coastal Railway Company stationed in and around Jiri-Phaitol area, allegedly by LTT and some unidentified group.
A press release issued by secretary information and Public relations, UTLA alleged LTT of abducting two Coastal Railway Company on April 7 and releasing them after receiving Rs 10 lakh as ransom.
It further alleged that another two Company workers were abducted again by unidentified persons from the surrounding area of Vangai village on September 30, which UTLA/KNO had no knowledge about.
The organisation has warned the kidnappers to stop misusing the name of ULTA in the near future.
It has appealed the State Government to serve punishment to the culprit at the earliest and further appealed the Central and State Government to fulfil the assured designated camp for UTLA/KNO at Vangaichungpao village.
