Newly appointed MPCC general secretary feted

Kangpokpi, July 13 2021: Sadar Hills District Congress Committee felicitated Ngamkhohen Kipgen on being appointed as the general secretary of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) .

The felicitation ceremony of Ngamkhohen was held in the presence of MPCC co-opted member Dr Lamtinthang Haokip, District Congress Committee president Zilthang Touthang, ST Kishan Morcha chairman, executive members of DCC, block presidents of 51-Saitu and 50-Kangpokpi.During the ceremony, Zilthang thanked MPCC president Govindas Konthoujam, CWC member Gaikhangam and CLP leader Okram Ibobi Singh for bestowing their faith and confidence by appointing Ngamkhohen Kipgen as a core member of the party.

Zilthang also proposed for relevant process to revive the party at the district level and also at all the three blocks namely 46-Saikul, 50-Kangpokpi and 51-Saitu.He further stressed on the need to convene a trilateral meeting at the earliest of the three blocks to discuss in length on how to strengthen the party right from the grassroots to the district level.

The newly appointed MPCC general secretary N Kipgen, who in recent year retired from his public service, assured the members of extending all possible help, both at his individual capacity and as an executive member of PCC, in reviving the party in the district.

He also elaborated on his inclination towards the Congress party's ideologies and principle and his close association with the longstanding members of the Congress Party.

Dr Lamtinthang Haokip emphasized on the need to streamline the organizational structure right from the district to the booth level so as to enhance smooth functioning of the party at various levels.

He also emphasized on bridging the minds and ideas of young and old Congress workers in strengthening the party at district level and the state at large.
