AR, Indian Red Cross Society organise mock drill

Tengnoupal, November 12 2019: Tengnoupal Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) along with Indian Red Cross Society conducted a mock drill on administration of first aid at Tengnoupal and Khudengthabi on November 10.The team provided first aid guidelines to troops of Assam Rifles and the locals, to handle day to day medical emergencies, said a press release issued by PRO, IGAR.

The lecture cum demonstrations were delivered by the Medical team of Red Cross Society of India.

The medical team included three doctors and 11 civil staff.

It stated that the event was altogether very informative for the attendees and provided knowledge to the troops and the locals on how to act timely during any medical emergencies.

A total of 3 officers, 14 Junior Commission Officer's, 156 other ranks and 19 civilians attended the event.

Such kind of events will help the society to gain knowledge and respond to any humanitarian and medical need both in emergency and in day to day support of the most vulnerable people, it added.
