Imphal, April 11 2015 : All Nagas Students' Association Manipur (ANSAM) endorsed the ongoing agitation of JAC- All Manipur Hill Districts Contract Basis Teacher Association, 2006 batch for their genuine demands of service regularization.

In the press release issued by ANSAM Information & Publicity Secretary, Wungthing T Leo, claims that, the MOU signed between the Government of Manipur and ATSUM in 2006 agreed that the contract basis teachers appointed will be utilized until the posts are filled up on regular basis through normal recruitment or Special drive as the case may be.

Further it says that the 2011 physical verification conducted by Education (S) regarding extension/regularization found 772 genuine teachers .

The matter was forwarded to higher authorities though no concrete step in the process has been take up till date.

ANSAM further appeals to the Government to take serious note and redress the grievances immediately to avoid undesirable consequences.
