DESAM to launch cleanliness drive

Imphal, March 11 2015: Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) Imphal City Unit Council will be launching a cleanliness drive within the Imphal City Area with an objective of maintaining a clean Imphal City.

The drive will also coordinate awareness programmes and will kick start from April 5.The initial drive will cover the school premises in the city besides urging the students and staff to maintain a clean environment in and around their campus, said a press release by DESAM secretary general, Imphal Unit, Athokpam Bhimsen.

A debate will be organized by DESAM for students from class X to XII under the theme 'A government strict law is the key to a clean environment'.
