Social audit for Sonapur GP conducted

Jiribam, November 10 2014: A social audit gram sabha on MGNREGA for 2014-15 with IPPE Sonapur Gram Panchayat under Jiribam CD Block was held on today at the premises of Sonapur Gram Panchayat, Kashimpur in Jiribam in presence of Md.Asrof Ali, Block Development Officer (BDO), Jiribam CD Block with other distinguished officers of the department.

Addressing the social audit, Md.Asrof Ali elaborately narrated the mode of implementation of works and activities of IPPE scheme launched by Jiribam CD Block.

Thereafter in the social audit session of Gram Sabha of Sonapur GP, the details of expenditure on MGNREGS developmental works were highlighted to the Gram Sabha members for the year 2014-15 .

Following the programme, a Gram Sabha on selection of beneficiary under IAY, 2015-16 was also held for the Sonapur G.P, Jiribam.

The dais of the programme of Gram Sabha on selection of beneficiary under IAY 2015-16 was shared by Bina Devi, Pradhan Hilghat G.P; Md.Ashab Uddin, Pradhan Sonapur G.P and Md.Asrof Ali, BDO, Jiribam CD Block as a chief Guest, President and Guest of honour respectively.

Addressing the Gram Sabha programme Md.Ashab Uddin, Pradhan Sonapur G.P said that in the ensuing year, the Panchayat of Sonapur G.P provides only 12 days works to the job card holders under the scheme of MGNREGA due to the shortage of fund sanctioned by the government.
