Imphal, January 08 2014: A National Integration Tour (NIT) for 20 students, three teachers and one PHS employee of Khoupum Valley to Kolkata and Hyderabad organised by 6/8 Gorkha Rifles of Loktak Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield Division was flagged off by Brigadier Sanjeev Chauhan, Commander Loktak Brigade from N Khunau on January 6 .

Speaking on the occasion, the Commander said that the aim of the tour is to expose the young impressionable minds to the various cultures, diversity and rich heritage of our country.

The students will visit various places of interest in Kolkata and Hyderabad including Indian Museum, Science City, Victoria Garden, Birla Planetarium and Mandir, Ramoji Film City, DRDO Hyderabad, AP State Archaeological Museum etc.
