Imphal, August 07 2015 :
The Politburo Standing Committee of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) has held an online meeting on Friday morning especially to deliberate on the negative implications of frequent bandhs/ general strikes on the educational environment in Kangleipak (Manipur) and the impact on the psychology of students who represent the future of the society.
A statement released by Ibungo Ngangbam, chairman Politburo Standing Committee, KCP said though the meeting has not come to any conclusion, the Politburo Standing Committee was unanimous about the urgent need to initiate some measures to protect the academic interests of students so that their future is not compromised because of frequent bandhs/general strikes in Kangleipak.
What measures are to be taken up in this regard will be made known to the general population in general and social organizations in particular as soon as possible, it said.
The statement said the Politburo Standing Committee feels that the demand for Inner Line Permit System in Kangleipak is not only legitimate but also an indispensable tool for the survival of the indigenous people of Kangleipak, but what is somewhat disappointing and paradoxical is the fact that it is the indigenous people of Kangleipak themselves that consciously or unconsciously diminish the illegitimacy of the Indian semi-colonial rule over Kangleipak since 1949 by taking part in the elections held under the Indian system.
"If we just talk about the last two major elections in Kangleipak, 79.19% of the people voted in the so-called Manipur Assembly Elections 2012 and 72% of the people voted in the Lok Sabha Elections 2014.The question here is, why? And now we are all paying the price for our short-sightedness in the past," KCP said.
"The Politburo Standing Committee of the Kangleipak Communist Party under my leadership is of the view that the best way of responding to the evil designs of the Government of India vis-a-vis Kangleipak is by simply boycotting the electoral processes of India," it added.
KCP said though if the polling percentage in Kangleipak is reduced by below 50%, any electoral process in Kangleipak under the Indian system automatically becomes a mockery in the eyes of the international community and that this is how the indigenous people of Kangleipak can thwart the evil policies of the Government of India being pursued with the connivance of the elite local political class of Kangteipak, whose only concern is to gain power and make money.
Moving on to a different issue, the Politburo Standing Committee of the Kangleipak Communist Party invites all concerned to send ideas and suggestion regarding a Medical Sector Regulation Framework that is being drafted by the Party, KCP said, adding that this regulation framework is scheduled to be introduced before the end of this year.
"Our email address is [email protected].
Though the Party's cyber wing has not detected any signs of our public email account having ever been hacked so far perhaps because of many special security features that we use to protect our account against any types of cyber attacks, we feel that the enemy's concerned agencies may be trying to hack it.
So we advise anyone interested to send us mails in encrypted form only by using our Public Key, which is available at MIT Public Key Server (https://pgp.mit.edu/)," it urged.
The Politburo Standing Committee of the Party further informed the general public that as in the past, the celebrations of the Indian Independence Day 2015 will be banned in Kangleipak and any adult taking part in the celebrations of the Indian Independence Day will be punished in a more-than-serious manner, KCP warned.
It also warned that for minor individuals, their parents/guardians will be punished instead if they are found participating in the celebrations.
In case of schools/colleges/organizations, they will be permanently banned in Kangleipak if they dare to defy the ban, it further warned.
Moreover, the Party has decided to call every 15th August "GO-BACK-INDIA DAY", which is to be observed by imposing a zero-movement rule throughout Kangleipak, KCP announced, but added that the zero-movement rule will not be applied to emergency health-related services.
"So I, on behalf of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Party, request and advise the general public of Kangleipak not to venture outside on this 15th August also in the interest of your own safety and security," the statement appealed.
