Imphal, November 06 2012: The state government has approved a sanction amount of Rs.11770.01 lakhs as first installment grant-in-aid for implementation of works under BADP (Border Area Development Programme) for the year 2012-13 .

According to an order by Chief Secretary Planning, Government of Manipur D S Poonia in this regard, the scheme-wise amount would be released to the executive agencies and the execution of work would be done through the Executive Director of DRDA, Churachandpur, Ukhrul, Chandel & IG Assam Rifles (South) .

As per the terms of Finance Department, Administrative Department shall be deducted at sources sales tax and 1% cess for the labour welfare.

No agency charge is levied under BADP schemes to be implemented by autonomous district council through village authority and works to be implemented through Assam Rifles, it added.
