Imphal, September 05 2011: In a tragic incident, a 50 years old man who was riding a motorcycle has been amputated after an autorikshaw carrying saw blades collided with him near Litan Police Station in Ukhrul district.

The incident occurred today at around 8.30 am.

The ill fated man was identified as one Banavas son of late Hungyo Panmei of Litan Keithel.

His right leg was cut off in the accident by the saw blade.

Another person called Animinus (38) who came with him on the motorcycle was injured on his right leg and hand in the accident.

The two victims were rushed to JNIMS hospitals and later admitted in Raj Polyclinic Hospitals.

The driver of the autorikshaw is still absconding.

However Litan police recovered the vehicle and filed a case regarding the incident.
