Kakching, July 05 2019:
District Health Society, National Vector Borne Diseases Control Programme, Kakching has organized 'District Level Inter-Sectoral Meeting' on Vector Borne Diseases at the Conference Hall of DC, Kakching today.
The programme was attended by Anjali Chongtham, SDO, Kakching as chief guest; Th Somorendro, Chief Medical Officer, Kakching as functional president and Kh Seityabal, District TB Officer as guest of honour.
Officials from various Govt Dept and private organizations of Kakching District, media persons and student leaders were also present in the meeting on vector borne diseases.

Speaking at the occasion, chief guest Anjali Chongtham, SDO, Kakching said that proliferation of vector borne diseases and how to contain it should be included in the school syllabus by the Education Department while adding that awareness programme on the way vector borne diseases got multiplied and the effective method to prevent it for the benefit of the school going children should be conducted on regular basis.
She further said that collective effort is needed from various private organizations of the State, Govt Depts and media persons to wipe out vector borne diseases from the State by 2021 .
