Kohima, January 04 2014 : , Jan 4: Chief of the Army Staff General Bikram Singh visited 3 Corps Zone at Zakhama in Nagaland today.

On arrival, the Chief of the Army Staff who was accompanied by his wife Mrs Bubbles Singh and Lieutenant General Manmohan Singh Rai, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command, was received by Lieutenant General SL Narasimhan, General Officer Commanding Spear Corps.

The Army Chief reviewed the operational preparedness, security situation and progress made in the development of infrastructure in the Spear Corps.

Later, Chief of Army Staff, who is also the Colonel of the SIKH LI Regiment, addressed the troops of 16 SIKH LI Battalion and interacted with the troops.

16 SIKH LI contingent had participated in a ten days long joint training exercise termed "Hand in Hand 2013" in Kunming province in Southern China in November 2013 .
