Imphal, October 31 2014 : A two day National Seminar on the theme "Democracy and Elections in India: A National Level Discourse" was being organised by the Department of Political Science, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University; Regional Campus Manipur (IGNTU-RCM) on October30-31.A release reported that it was held at the Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Imphal under the sponsorship of Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR),New Delhi.

In the inaugural session on the first day Prof.S.Mangi of Manipur University graced the function as Chief Guest and also chaired the following sessions that followed.

Ngalengam , Assistant Professor of IGNTU-RCM gave the keynote address in the said function.

It was concluded with resolutions and recommendations of the proceedings, added the release.
