VPRP Achievement Mela organised

Imphal, June 30 2022: A Village Poverty Reduction Plan (VPRP) Achievement Mela under Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) was jointly organised by Waiton Gram Panchayat, CMO Imphal East, Social Welfare Department, Imphal East, CSC Imphal East and various VLFs, at Waiton Maning Leikai community hall on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, MSRLM state mission manager Loitongbam Binota observed that most rural women are not completely aware of the details of government schemes although they might have heard them in the passing.

The Mela was, thus, organised with the aim of informing them of the same.

In her speech, Waiton GP pradhan Pukhrambam Surbala said that the Mela was organised to provide an opportunity to the VLF and Self-Help Groups under MSRLM to showcase their products.

During the Mela, beneficiaries of old age pension were provided smart cards after verification, while job cards, free health check-up and vaccinations were also provided to other beneficiaries on the occasion.

The Mela was also attended by Kudambashree NRM state project coordinator Mingna Lama and ICDS supervisor S Ranjana Chanu among others.
