Wangkhei Model School cuts a sorry figure

Imphal, December 28 2013 : As part of its inspection tour to schools and colleges, volunteers of Students Federation of India (SFI), Manipur State Committee today visited Wangkhei Model High School and found the school reeling under pitiable condition with absence of proper drinking water, separate toilet for boys and girls, chowkidar and sweeper, doors and windows inside classroom among many others.

In a statement, the SFI, Manipur State Committee has alleged that the school was pushed to the sorry state due to the lack of intervention from the State Government and other concerned authorities.

The student body has also warned of taking recourse to various intense agitation if the demand is not met ahead of the ensuing academic session.
