UNC condemns abduction

Imphal, November 27 2011: The United Naga Council (UNC) strongly condemned the abduction of KT Joseph of Rosofii of Purul village by unidentified miscreants from Lamphel, Imphal while he was dropping his daughter to school.

A press release issued by Publicity Wing, UNC stated that the crime committed in the heart of Imphal city and in broad daylight reflected the lawlessness prevailing in the society.

"We strongly urge the concerned authorities to spare no effort to rescue Joseph and award befitting punishment to the perpetrators who have no place in society.

We join the family and dear ones of Joseph in our prayers for his safe and early return from the hands of the captors," it stated.
