MLA to flag off Humanity Tour

Ukhrul, April 26 2018: 'The Humanity Tour' for differently abled, orphans and the aged will be flagged off by 44-Ukhrul A/C MLA Alfred Kanngam Arthur from Mini Secretriat, Ukhrul at noon tomorrow, conveyed a press release issued by CEO of The Indigenous Foundation.

The tour is being organised under the Minutes of Humanity- a special event for the disabled, orphans and the senior citizens of Ukhrul in connection with Shirui Lily Festival 2018.The programme is powered by the Indigenous Foundation with support from the State government.

In tomorrow's tour, the crowned winner of Miss Spring 2018 Veronica Awungshi and four winners of the subtitles will accompany the team till Shirui village.

A number of over 250 disabled, orphans and senior citizens would join the tour.

The participants of Minutes of Humanity programme have today been given a tour to the festival sites located in the town.

A medical camp has also been conducted for them on April 24-25 at Multi-Purpose Hall at Mini Secretriat, Hamleikhong.

Miss Manipur 2017 Thounaojam Strela also paid a visit and interacted with the participants of Minutes of Humanity this afternoon.

For the last two days, the special event also conducted various competitions for participants in different categories and gifts were also distributed during the programme.
