Committee seeks attention

A nine-members team of Kho-le Bungbi Development and Action Committee set out to explore Troombi waterfall on February 13, conveyed a press release issued by president of the committee.
It stated that the waterfall is situated on Pukpaa river, which is a tributary of Lokchao river.
The waterfall is about 102 fts high and can be considered as the highest waterfall in the State, it added.
It further stated that the sole purpose of the trip was to study the waterfall and its benefits and it was observed that the waterfall has immense possibilities to attract tourists if proper road connectivity is developed.
Considering the volume of the water throughout the year and its height, generation of hydroelectricity is quite possible, it noted.
The trekkers have sought assistance and attention of the State Government in unveiling the unexplored beauty to the people of the State as well as the tourists.
