Imphal, November 25 2017:
The 2nd International Imphal Art Camp 2017, organised by North East Brothers Pvt Ltd as a part of the ongoing Sangai festival, wrapped up today at Sangai hall, Hotel Imphal today.
A total of 26 well renowned artists from the country as well as Korea, Turkey, Russia and Haiti, took part in the five days long festival which began from November 20 .
Speaking at the event, retired IAS, RK Nimai said that the camp was organised with the aim of transforming Imphal into an artists destination and added that he expect artists from outside Manipur to produce works based on Manipur.
Speaking at the event, Director, Art and Culture, Dr K Sushila lauded the programme and expressed belief that if the programme is organised regularly Imphal will be transformed into a tourist destination and the art products of the State will gain international exposure.
Retired Principal of Art College, Yumnam Nabachandra was also present as the presidium member at the event.
