Kakching, November 25 2011: A man who went missing since November 23 was found dead at Athokpam Khangjeng Loukol in Thoubal district today.

The victim Laishram Dijen (38) son of Laishram Kunjababu was a resident of Khangabok Part 2 Maisnam Leikai.

According to family members, the victim went out for cutting grass in the morning of the fateful day.

Family members along with local people began searching for him as he did not return home till late evening.

The search was continued on the next day and the lifeless body was found only today in the morning in the paddy fields near Thoubal Arong River.

Thoubal Police recovered the body from the spot and deposited it at the RIMS mortuary for post mortem.

Family members and local people expressed suspicion on the nature of death.
