Aid extended to people in C-zone, CHIC volunteers

Imphal, May 24 2021:
In view of the inconveniences faced by people living in containment zones, BJP Manipur Pradesh state council member Kh Ibomcha, who is also chairman of Covid 2nd Wave Fighting Task Force Lamlai Mandal, distributed edible items to 21 households in Sekta village and two households in Loushangkhong, both under Lamlai AC, that have been declared as containment zones on Monday.
Pungdongbam GP former pradhan I Prem also attended the distribution of edible items.
Under the initiative of Ibomcha, Tellou Chana GP pradhan candidate W Herojit and his election committee convenor Y Deben also handed over edible items along with hand sanitizers to Community Home Isolation Centres set up at Yaingangpokpi Ching-Tam High School, Sabungkhok and Yaingangpokpi.
Covid-19 Awareness and Enforcement Committee Lamlai Kendra chairman A Jamini also handed over monetary aid to volunteers of Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC) set up at Pungdongbam Higher Secondary school.
Meanwhile, BJP Kisan Morcha vice president and Medical Cell convenor Dr Ksh Kala distributed edible items to families in virus-hit areas of Pangei Maning Leikai and also extended monetary aid to members of Covid-19 Task Force including Pangei Youth Club, Pangei Yandong Development Association and Pangei Makha Leikai.
Social worker Keithellakpam Sanahanba too distributed edible items to eight families of Pourabi Awang Leikai Part-2 that have been notified as containment zone while Wahengbam Janmenjoy and Wahengbam Bijoy jointly distributed edibles to 17 households of Pourabi Makha Leikai Part-2 that have been declared as virus zone.
Also, Waiton Gram Panchayat pradhan Pukrabam Surbala and Pourabi Part-1 member Yambem Naobi distributed edible items to families of Pourabi Part-1 and Part-2 that have been declared as containment zones.
Bishnupur/Kakching: Former chief secretary Oinam Nabakishore Singh on Monday distributed edibles to households under containment zones in Bishnupur Ward No 6, 7, 9 and 10 as well as Ward No 2 (Shantipur), 3, 4, 5, 7 and 10 of Ningthoukhong and Potsangbam.
Meanwhile, Kakching Khunou Municipal Council former vice chairperson and Ward No 8 ex-councillor Khumukcham Gojendro Singh along with former ward member Khumukcham Rameshwor and ex-candidate from Wangkhem assembly constituency social worker Kangabam Jadumani distributed edibles to families living in containment zones of Kakching Khunou Ward No.8 and Wangkhem AC respectively on Monday.
