Imphal, December 23 2018: Social Welfare and Co-operation Minister Nemcha Kipgen has extended her heartiest greetings to all the people especially Christian brethren on the joyous celebration of Christmas.

Christmas celebrates the life, sacrifices and teachings of Jesus Christ, a great teacher of humanity, said a message of Nemcha Kipgen.

She wished and hope that the festive spirit engulfs each and every home ushering joy and happiness.

MLA and ex-Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam also wished the people of the State on the occasion of Christmas.

May the festival usher in peace and brotherly coexistence among the different communities of the State, he said.

The United Naga Council (UNC) too has extended its greetings to the people on the occasion of Christmas and the coming New Year, reports NNN.

The UNC also wished the people, "may the coming 2019 be a year of achievement and happy ending" .
