Lok Sabha MP Surya heaps praises on CM Biren

As part of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) national president and Lok Sabha MP LS Tejasvi Surya's two-day longvisit to Manipur, a friendly football match was played between CM 11 team and BJYM NE 11 team at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi Part-II Makha Leikai on Monday.
Addressing the players and public gathered for the friendly match organised by BJYM Manipur Pradesh under the supervision of intending BJP candidate in Patsoi AC Wahengbam Dineshchandra; LS Tejasvi Surya stated that Manipur has developed exponentially under the leadership of PM Modi and CM N Biren.
He then expressed his excitement on seeing the chief minister playing the friendly match and contended that CM Biren is not easy to defeat either in football or governance.
Tejasvi continued: "The Northeast region including Manipur was known for incidents of violence, corruption and other negative news.
However, under the leadership of PM Modi and CM N Biren the northeast Manipur in particular has seen significant improvement in diverse sectors.
The region is now closer to the mainland than ever before".
Assuring of extending all possible help to the youth of the state, the BJYM national president said that by taking part in the friendly football match, CM Biren has showcased the spirit of teamwork and brotherhood, which he (Biren) has incorporated in the governance of the state.
Although it is his (Tejasvi) first visit to the state, Tejasvi said that he will continue to visit Manipur in the future, while assuring of extending help to the state youth residing in Bengaluru.
He further expressed belief that the Biren-led government will get absolute majority in the upcoming election.
In his speech, CM N Biren said that the law and order situation in the state has improved significantly over the past 4 years.
He then said that Union Minister Amit Shah has recognised the courage displayed by Rani Gaidinliu during the freedom struggle and as such, laid the foundation stone for a museum in the name of the freedom fighter at her birthplace in Luangkao village on Monday.
This indicates that the central government respects the state of Manipur, he stated and remarked that BJP is a party that strongly believes in nationalism.
BJYM national general secretary and Lok Sabha MP Raju Bista, BJP Manipur Pradesh state VP Nimbus Ningombam, general secretary P Premananda Meitei, BJYM Manipur president M Barish Sharma, BJP Imphal West District president Ph Phoni Meitei, Patsoi Mandal president Kunjamani Yumnam and W Dineshchandra were also present on the occasion.
Later, wheelchairs were distributed to differently-abled persons.
The friendly match between CM 11 team and BJYM NE 11 team ended in a 3-3 draw.
