MHHDCL launches e-catalogue, Chakkouba offer

Manipur Handloom and Handicraft Development Corporation Limited (MHHDCL) has launched e-catalogue and Ningol Chakkouba offer' at Panthoibi Arcade, Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi on Friday.
Attending the launch event as chief guest, MHHDCL chairman S Achouba spoke about the initiatives taken up by the Corporation for the promotion of entrepreneurs and urged for public support.
The corporation is launching the monthly e-catalogue so that people all over the world could get access to the products promoted and sold by the corporation through its outlets.
With Ningol Chakkouba just round the corner, the corporation is now making 'buy one, get one free' offer for one of the grandest festivals of Manipur, he said while lauding the staff members of the corporation for their contributions in delivering the promises made by MHHDCL to the public.
He appealed to the people of the state to use local handloom products as gift for their near and dear ones on the occasion of Ningol Chakkouba.
The Chakkouba offer is not only for Manipur but it can also be availed at Panthoibi Emporiums in Kolkata and New Delhi.
It has verified the products that are in demand in Kolkata and the consignment will be sent soon.
The corporation is mainly focused on promoting the local handloom products without much profits, he said while emphasising the need for public support to promote local products.
MHHDCL managing director Lamlee Kamei said that the e-catalogue is a monthly catalogue and stocks will be replenished keeping in view of the public demand as per seasons and festivals.
Such initiatives are achievement of the corporation under the chairman.
The main role of the corporation in selling the local products is to showcase and promote the products and place the order as per demand, he said.
Stating that the corporation is planning to make the emporium a popular destination for tourists, Lamlee also appealed to the authority concerned to ensure visit of union ministers to the corporation's emporium as it could help in promotion of the new local handloom products.
MHHDCL general manager (marketing) O Rajendra also attended the function among others.
