Rural market shed inaugurated

Kakching, January 20 2019: Rural market shed of Hiyanglam Warakhong built under the funding of Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) 2018-2019, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India was inaugurated by MLA Hiyanglam Kendra Dr Radheshyam Yumnam and dedicated to the public yesterday.

The inaugural function was attended by chairman MANIDCO and MANITRON who is also MLA of Hiyanglam Kendra, Dr Radheshyam Yumnam as chief guest, president Hiyanglam Warakhong Chaokhat Khongthang Nupi Marup, Elangbam Sakhi Devi as functional president while Kakching Zilla Parishad Member, Hiyanglam ZP Elangbam Ranjana Devi, pradhan Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat, Elangbam Shantibala Devi, president ASHA Warakhong, Elangbam Biren Singh as guests of honour.

Chief of Taosang village warns to take legal action NONEY, Jan 20: Legal action will be taken against the Forest Department RO Khoupum said G Soihem Haomei Headman of Taosang village.

The village headman alleged that the officials of Forest Department Khoupum have failed to protect the forest produce of Taosang village from the uncontrolled felling of trees by unscrupulous persons prompting them to take legal action against the said department.
