Imphal, December 17 2023:
Alleging government negligence for the affiliation of several schools in Churachandpur and Kangpokpi districts to CBSE, Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has demanded appropriate action against all individuals involved in the case.
MSF, in a statement, said that no objection certificate (NOC) from the state government is mandatory for affiliation of any school with CBSE.
Education minister had clarified that no NOC had been issued since May 2020 and later it was found that fake NOCs with forged signatures of the ZEOs concerned were used in processing and getting the affiliation.
Out of the total list of 35 schools of the two districts affiliated with CBSE, as available in the SARAS portal, 10 got affiliation before April this year and 15 after May.
Maintaining that it is a serious issue, which could not be ignored, MSF demanded the government to take up appropriate action against those involved in the case.
