Children's Clubs opened in Tengnoupal

Tengnoupal, July 16 2018: Centre for Women and Girls Lhunajang under the aegis of Terre des hommes (TDH) Germany has opened Children's Clubs at Molnoi, Zion and H Kotlenphai villages under Tengnoupal district Sunday.

The children's clubs were opened under the project "Realising the Rights of Children and Adolescents" under the TDH Germany.

The Centre for Women and Girls-Lhunajang village will supervised the said clubs.

A total of 7 such clubs will be set up in Tengnoupal and Chandel districts.

Molnoi village Chief Chongthang Zou, wife of Chief Tinkhonem Zou, members of village authority Haoneh Mate, Shothong Haokip, secretary of Centre for Women and Girls Hechin Haokip, staff and villagers attended the opening ceremony of the club at Molnoi village.

At Zion village, members of the village authority Hemmang, Letlal and other dignitaries attended the ceremony.

While the opening ceremony at H Kotlenphai village was attended by Chairman of the village authority Thonghem, Vice-Chairman Tongpu and others.

Two girls and boys were nominated as leaders for each clubs.

The Centre for Women and Girls donated footballs to the children of the villages.
