Interest-free loan distributed in Keirao

Imphal, June 16 2015 : Social worker MI Khan has distributed loans with no interest to hill villagers of Tamaram, Poiroutongba and Lemba of the Keirao constituency on Tuesday at Community Hall of Tamaram village at 1.00 pm.

A press note by Secretary KK Shelf Help Group Co-ordinating Committee stated that under social activities of MI Khan, President of Keirao constituency Self Help Group Co-Ordinating Committee, W.Shushila has been organizing and helping women members to get loans.

A woman has a big responsibility to bring up a better society in a peaceful manner, MI Khan said in the function.

Only when conditions of women are better can a developed society be brought up where our future generations could be on top.

As this being kept in mind to develop women's economy, loans with no interest were distributed at many parts of the constituency.

Till now loans with no interest have been distributed in 38 self help groups of Keirao constituency and will continue to do so, he further added.
