Public day organised by Moreh Police every month was held today at the police station, Moreh today.
The public took up several issues/problems to the police officers.
With summer approaching in the border town, the people urged the fire department to stay vigil to counter any fire incidents.
During the event, representatives of the different communities expressed their desire to include officials of other Govt departments in the meeting.
Attendance of the officials of other departments in the meeting will enable them to raise their issues more efficiently, opined the public.
The community leaders also raised the issue of shortage of doctors at the Moreh Hospital.
The police officers at the meeting assured to take up the issues to their superiors and assured that officials/representatives of other departments would be invited at the next 'public day'.
Informing that the import of cigarette and alcohol from Myanmar are prohibited, OC Letkhohao Vaiphei asked the public to refrain from importing the banned items from across the border.
He further urged the people to stop illegal sales of petrol in the town.
SDPO Moreh police Sandip Gopaldash, CDO Moreh DSP Th Thomas, Moreh PS OC Letkhohao Vaiphei, other officers and representatives of Meira Paibis and community leaders attended the event today.
