Awareness, breast cancer screening camp held

Lions Clubs of Imphal Excellence, under Lions Clubs International District 322D, in partnership with ACME Fertility & Healthcare Centre and ACME College of Nursing, organised a breast cancer awareness and free screening camp at ACME Fertility & Healthcare Centre, Imphal East on Monday.
The camp which had large turnout of locals, healthcare professionals, and nursing students included expert talks and interactive sessions designed to educate attendees about the impact of breast cancer and importance of early detection and prevention.
ACME College of Nursing principal Prof N Nalinibala Devi stressed the significance of regular screenings and self-examinations.
Early detection can significantly increase the chances of successful treatment, she said.
Participants were taught self-examination techniques and Engaged in discussions on the latest advancements in breast cancer research and treatment.
Attendees were also given informational pamphlets and breast cancer test coupons.
The Lions Clubs of Imphal Excellence president Sapam Anand remarked, "We believe that awareness is the first step toward prevention.
Together, we can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer" .
The initiative was part of a broader campaign by the Lions Clubs to promote health awareness and community welfare in the state with the aim to continue supporting individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
