Imphal, August 13 2015: Altogether 17 security personnel have been selected for this year's Chief Minister's Medal for Gallantry and Chief Minister Police Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty.

This year's recipients of the Chief Minister's Medal for Gallantry are Dy SP, Imphal West CDO Sachidananda Singh, Havildar A John Fellow (4th IRB attached with Cdo IAV), Havildar Lt Solomon Khongsai (7th IRB), Havildar Khanglinglung (7th IRB), Havildar L Hemanta (3rd IRB attached with Tbl Cdo), Imphal West Cdo Sub-Inspector Kh Pathou Meetei, Imphal West SI Th Suraj, W/ ASI, Imphal East O Somolini Devi and Jemadar S Birla Singh (6th MR attached with Cdo I/W) .

Those selected for the Chief Minister' s Police Medal for Outstand-ing Devotion to Duty are Rifleman M Jugindro (Home Guards), Havildar Md Rahimuddin (2nd MR), Constable T Token Meetei.

Havildar Md Anwar Shah (1 st MR), OC/CDO Imphal West P Sanjoy-Singh, Rifleman L Premjit (2nd MB'), Havildar W Robindro (6th IRB ) and Fireman M Romendro.

The awards were announced on the occasion of the Patriots ' Day by an order issued by the Joint Secretary (Home) on August 12 .
