Thoubal, April 13 2019: A two-days Legal Awareness Programme organized by Manipur State Commission For Women under the sponsorship of National Commission For Women began at Yairipok Top-Chingtha Community Hall, Imphal East today.

The first day of the awareness programme was attended by chairperson, Manipur State Commission For Women, Professor Dr Binota Meinam as chief guest; 16-Tulihal Zilla Parishad member, Kongbam Inaocha Devi as functional president and member of Manipur State Commission For Women, Ranjita Golmei as guest of honour.

More than 150 participants (men and women) took part in the legal awareness programme while senior advocate Ngangom Tejkumar spoke on 'Domestic Violence', senior advocate Khaidem Shanta on 'Women and laws' and advocate Th Rajkishore spoke on "Properties Rights of Women' as resource persons.

Later, a question & answer session was also conducted in which the resource persons answered all the questions raised by the participants.
