Condemnation over bomb attack at AMSU office continues

Several groups and organisations continued to voice strong condemnations against the bomb attack at AMSU office on June 8 evening.
Manipur Peace and Integrity (MAPI) Council president Moirangthem Neta in a press release said that the act of spreading fear by carrying out bomb attack at the office of AMSU, which is one of the oldest and most important students' organisations of Manipur which has been taking major roles in several issues of the state is deeply unfortunate and condemnable to the highest extent.
The act of causing fear by exploding bombs is not considered as an act of bravery.
There is a peaceful alternative to settle any disagreement or difference of opinion, the release said and urged those responsible not to indulge in such activities in the future.
Thangmeiband Apunba Nupi Lup (THANIL) also condemned the attack and urged those behind the attack to refrain from such acts in the future.
Twipra Students' Federation (TSF) also condemned the attack and demanded that authorities concerned should immediately launch investigation and nab the perpetrators.
In another release, Kakching Khunou College Students' Union general secretary Laishram Sadananda said the attack at the office of AMSU is unimaginable and condemnable to the highest degree.
He also opined that persons or groups behind the attack are a threat to the public and society.
Similarly, Jiri Ima Meira Paibi Apunba Lup and Jiri College Students' Union condemned the attack and urged those responsible for the incident to stop spreading fear among the people.
