Imphal, March 12 2025: The newly constructed double-storey community hall of Sayang Singlup was inaugurated by Sagolband MLA RK Imo Singh on Wednesday in the presence of corporators of Ward No 10 & 7, Salam Tiken Singh and RK Jiten Singh, Ward No 10 member Devaraj Wangkhem, and other community leaders and local residents.

In his address, MLA RK Imp highlighted the importance of such facilities in promoting social and cultural development within the community.

In addition to the community hall, the MLA announced several other developmental projects aimed at improving basic facilities in the locality.

He revealed that the construction of Sayang Pond is nearing completion and will soon feature ambient lighting around its perimeter and a footpath to improve accessibility and aesthetic appeal.

An artificial turf will also be installed in the recently renovated ground adjacent to the pond.

The area will further be developed with a garden, an open gym, and a ground, which are expected to attract tourists and visitors from neighbouring areas, contributing to the beautification and recreational development of Sayang, the MLA added.

RK Imo also mentioned that several other projects, including community halls and improved road connectivity, are in the pipeline and will be inaugurated soon to further enhance the overall infrastructure and well-being of the constituency.

He reiterated his commitment to the holistic development of the area and urged the public to actively participate in maintaining these new facilities.
