Imphal, February 12 2025:
Federation of Indigenous People's Democratic Movement (FIDM), Langol Game Village has declared ban on the recruitment process for seven Grade B and C positions out of a total of 24 in Manipur University calling the process unfair.
It cited reports of answer scripts snatched during the written test, as confirmed by a confidential order issued by the MU registrar, and accordingly declared the ban on the recruitment for the remaining positions scheduled from February 15 to 19 .
Addressing the media, FIDM president Wahengbam Shanta Meetei informed that due to the unfair conduct of the written examination for seven Grade B and C posts, it is unlikely that the written tests for the remaining posts will be far from being fair.
He highlighted that the DPC for Grade B and C posts was conducted in violation of established rules and regulations.
According to existing guidelines, the DPC for non-teaching staff of All India Central Universities must take place within six months from the date of the advertisement, with a possible extension of another six months at the discretion of the Vice Chancellor.
However, the current DPC for the Grade B and C posts is being conducted after a delay of four to five years from the advertisement date.
As a result, neither the outcome of the conducted DPC should be declared, nor DPC for the remaining posts held, he asserted.
