Suangdoh Govt HS impresses MLA GS Haupu

MLA and chairman of MANIREDA & MTDC, GS Haupu on Saturday visited the Government High School at Suangdoh village under Singngat (Singhat) constituency.
The school with 155 students and 12 teachers is known to have well-functioning records.
The MLA, who visited the school to inaugurate its barbed wire fencing, assured of doing his best to develop requisite infrastructures of the school.
He also provided Rs 50,000 for students' educational tour.
The project of barbed-wire fencing, the foundation stone of which was laid by the then DC Churachandpur Pawan Yadav, has been constructed under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) fund.
Earlier, MLA Haupu inaugurated the Suangdoh village guest house, Kapkhovung ZYA Unit of Suangdoh village and later attended a felicitation programme for students from Suangdoh village and distributed awards to 39 class X students studying under BSEM, nine class XII students under CoHSEM and one SSCE student.
The event was attended by additional DC Khaikhopau, ZEO (Churachandpur) Chingkhei and former MDC of Lungthul area Suanchinpau and other officials.
During his speech, GS Haupu exhorted the successful students to be ambitious and work hard, and fear God and respect their parents.
He went on to say that his priority is to provide all development facilities to the people and added that due to efforts put in by the government at least the PHC of the area is now functioning well and in future 2-3 doctors will be posted to the PHC of Suangdoh besides others.
The MLA also mentioned that roads and water supply have improved to a great extent.
A huge amount of fund has been allocated for development of Suangdoh area that sees residential schools being constructed and setting up of higher secondary school among others.
