Anti-Biren group colluding with illegal immigrants: Meitei Leepun

Imphal, February 11 2025: Meitei Leepun has strongly condemned the statement made by Paolienlal Haokip in the latter's Twitter account on February 10, 2024, and labelled him 'a BJP MLA with questionable credentials related to fraud and an alleged illegal immigrant' .

Paolienlal's statement that "the Kuki-Zo political aspiration remains a Union Territory with legislature.

The resignation of the chief minister is just a precondition for talks," drew sharp criticism from the organisation.

Meitei Leepun stated that if this statement is true, then the MLAs attempting to overthrow the government under N Biren Singh are clearly colluding with illegal immigrants in a deliberate attempt to destabilise and disintegrate Manipur.

It asserted that those involved must take full responsibility for any untoward incidents that may arise as a result of their actions.

Declaring its firm stance against any attempt to fragment Manipur, Meitei Leepun asserted that it will not remain silent and sternly warned anyone acting at the behest of illegal immigrants.
