2 day National seminar held

The inaugural session of a two-day National seminar on "Affinities and Expansion of Prehistoric and Archaeological Cultures in Northeast India with Special Emphasis on Rock Art" was held today at the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Regional Campus Manipur (IGNTU-RCM), Makhan.
A press release issued by Director (I/C), IGNTU-RCM, Dr Ng Ngalengnam stated that the seminar is organised by Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University.
Professor G B Deglurkar, former president, Deccan College, Pune graced the occasion as chief guest and Dr Ng Ngalengnam.
Director (I/C), IGNTU-RCM presided the session.
Professor Alok Shrotriya, Director of Academics & Research and Dean of Social Sciences, IGNTU, Amarkantak hosted the seminar and welcomed the delegates.
Dr B L Malla, Project Director, IGNCA, New Delhi introduced the seminar and Professor V H Sonawane, Professor of Archaeology and Ancient Indian History & Culture and Former Director of Field Archaeology, MS University, Vadodara delivered the keynote address.
