Cattle vaccinated under Krishi Swarna Samriddhi Scheme

Imphal, December 09 2024:
Directorate of Extension Education, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, in collaboration with KVK, Andro and the veterinary office, Imphal East, vaccinated around 300 cattle at Andro Kharam and Huikap villages on Monday.
The vaccination programme was part of the launch event of a week-long campaign of Krishi Swarna Samriddhi Scheme, aimed at supporting farmers through various agricultural initiatives.
The programme was attended by Imphal East senior veterinary officer Dr N Ibomcha, KVK head Dr Yumnam Prabhabati, technical officer (veterinary & animal husbandry) Dr Th Sushilkumar, and Andro village 'Luklakpa' Phanjoubam Maimu.
Dr Yumnam Prabhabati highlighted the strong relationship between the well-being of cattle and the improved living standards of farmers.
She also emphasised the significance of regular vaccination to ensure better health and productivity for livestock.
Dr Th Sushilkumar explained that timely vaccination is vital to protect livestock from seasonal diseases and epidemics, which can prevent financial losses for farmers.
He encouraged farmers to consult veterinary experts and adhere to their guidance to ensure the health of their livestock.
