Women bodies want death for murderers

Imphal, April 08 2013: Ema Nganu Leima Women Welfare Association, Uripok and Takheleikai Apunaba Nupi Lup have demanded that the murderer (s) of Ningombam Satyabhama should be hanged till death.

The two women bodies organized sit-in protest demonstrations against the killing at Uripok Khaidem Leikai and Takheleikai today.

Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the protest demonstration, Secretary of Ema Nganu Leima Women Welfare Association Maipakpi pointed out that many women have been murdered in Manipur and in order to prevent such crimes in future, murderer of Satyabhama should be hanged to death.

President of Takheleikai Apunab Nupi Lup L Indramani lamented that so far the State Government has not been able to produce the murderers in any of the cases in the State.

But there is the need to teach a lesion to the murderers.
