AR provides artificial limbs

As part of perception management programme, a camp for "Free Provisioning of artificial limbs" and "Ex �Service men rally" (ESM) was organised at 27 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) on 07 Feb 2014 .
In the Jaipur Foot Camp, Major General Rajeev Chopra, IGAR (South) interacted with the beneficiaries and wished good health & happiness to all.
A total of 12 amputees were gifted with artificial limbs and 13 fresh cases have been identified and their measurements have been taken which would be done in the next phase on 13 Apr 2014 .
Major General Rajeev Chopra, IGAR (South) addressed the Assam Rifles ESM and presented gifts to the three martyrs of 27 Sector Assam Rifles who made the supreme sacrifice while on duty fighting the insurgents at the border.
The General also presented a computer for the efficient functioning of the ESM Office at Churachandpur.
Mrs Rashmi Chopra presented gift hampers to 03 veer naris & 32 widows present at the ceremony.
During the rally Pensioners Cell, Medical, dental and eye specialists, Horticulture, bank & various other stalls were placed for the information of ESMs.
Major General Rajeev Chopra, IGAR (South) flagged in a National Integration Tour that had gone from Churachandpur to Officers Training Academy, Chennai.
The tour comprised of 15 School Children and 02 Teachers from Hill Model School of Thinghat.
The tour was organised to provide a firsthand exposure of Indian Armed Forces to school children and expose them to the Socio-Cultural diversity of India.
The students also visited places of interest Like Kapaleshwarar Temple, Santhone Basilica Church, Marina and Elliott Beaches of Chennai, Birla Planetarium, National Art Gallery, Guindy National Park and many more tourist spots.
