Social Service conducted at Pallel Keithel

Kakching, February 08 2013: A Social Service camp was conducted jointly by the people of the areas, women vendors and police personnel at Pallel Keithel today.

The social service camp was organised by Pallel Keithel Board in association with Ching-Tam Apunba Nupee Lup.

Apart from women vendors of Pallel Keithel, OC of Pallel Police Outpost, OC of CID and other police personnel also participated in the camp.

Contractor Kumar who is engaged in construction work of Pallel Bridge also extended help in the form of one JCB dozer during the camp.

Secretary of Ching Tam Apunba Nupee Lup, Nungshi said that Pallel Keithel is a marketplace situated at the junction of Thoubal and Chandel district.

The market has been serving the people of the two districts in earning their livelihood as well as providing essential commodities.

Since, the volume of customers coming to the market has increased manifold, the area has become dirtier with each passing day.

The market is also becoming quite small while comparing to the number of visitors.

She also drew the attention of the state government and concerned authority to look after the matter and upgrade the marketplace.
