Fertilisers distributed at Mayang Imphal, Kakching

Imphal, July 07 2022: Mayang Imphal AC MLA K Robindro on Thursday pacified the farmers in his constituency, stating that all genuine and sincere farmers will be provided with adequate fertilisers.

He made the statement while distributing fertilisers at subsidized rate provided by the Agriculture Department to the farmers at Mayang Imphal Thana Awang Leikai and Laphupat Tera residences on Thursday.

Robindro said that steps are being taken up to provide fertilisers to the farmers of his constituency in accordance with the CM and the Agriculture minister's assurances of providing urea to the farmers of the state.

Meanwhile, in view of the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the state, MLA K Robindro distributed protective gear and other medical kits to ASHAs, who will be responsible for visiting the Covid positive families in the constituency.

On the other hand, one Naorem Rameshwar (Ato) of Kakching Khu-nyai Leikai Moiranthem Pharmacy Pareng, Wabagai AC distributed fertilisers to around 700 farmers of Kakching and surrounding areas for free on Thursday.

Naorem Rameshwar used his own resources and collaborated with Naorem Britain, Naorem Purna, Takhellambam Jiten and Naorem Romeo in distributing 3-6 kg of fertilisers to farmers, after a 3-day long survey of the paddy fields.

According to Rameshwar, the fertilisers were distributed under the aegis of Wabagai AC MLA Dr Usham Deben.

His team also made the farmers aware that Chak-hao/Black rice need no fertilisers, upon which 43 farmers agreed and sold the fertilisers they had previously purchased for other crops, to the team.

Rameshwar then contributed Rs 27,653 from his private money in purchasing 64 bags of urea which were later distributed to the farmers.
