Awungshi's case taken up in BJP National meet

Drawing the attention of the National leaders of BJP towards the problem of physical harassment and racial profiling being faced by students from North East in other parts of the country, State Unit BJP President Th.Chaoba Singh has strongly condemned the recent murder of Reingamphy Awungshi in South Delhi during the National Executive meeting of the party which began from today at Maria Sheraton Hotel, Panaji, Goa.

Shantikumar Sharma, former State President and National Executive Member, BJP and S.Premananda Sharma, State General Secretary (Orgn) among the delegates of BJP, Manipur Pradesh participating in the National Executive meeting.
During the meeting, Chaoba strongly condemned the murder of Miss.
Reingamphy Awungshi in South Delhi recent and drew the attention of the National leaders of BJP towards the physical harassment of students from North East States, racial profiling, derogatory comments passed and sexual offences committd against North East women.
The matter should be given serious attention and National leaders of BJP should initiate action to book the culprits and punish them as per law of the land so that incidents are not repeated in future, Chaoba observed.
In the morning session of the meeting, there was a meeting of National Office bearers of BJP.
In the post-lunch session, another meeting of National Office bearers, State Presidents and State General Secretaries (orgn) was held.
Discussion was made minutely on the agenda of the forthcoming 14thLokSabha Election.
For Lok Sabha election in Manipur, the Parliamentary constituencies of the State has been divided into 2 zones i.e.Inner & Outer Parliamentary Constituency.
The meeting nominated M.Asnikumar Singh, General Secretary (Adm) and Dr..NNando Singh, Convenor, State Core Committee, Political Affairs Committee and Policy Working Group as "Lok Sabha Guardian" and "Lok Sabha Convenor" of Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency respectively while Danny Shaiza (Ex-MLA) and Yanglet Haokip, National Council Member, BJP as "Lok Sabha Guardian" and "Lok Sabha Convenor" of Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency respectively.
