NPF working president inaugurates Pumdumlong ground

Naga People's Front (NPF) Manipur state working president Robert T Maram on Monday inaugurated Pumdumlong village ground which is under Willong sub-division, Senapati district.
Speaking at the inauguration function, T Robert Maram described Willong as a blessed village as it has produced many prominent personalities including (late) Hing, Ranging James, Haikung Mark, and political figure like Francis Ngajokpa.
He also advised the villagers "to keep praising God for the grace and should not mis-use such divine blessings".
The former ANSAM president lauded the contributions of local ADC member Rangpung John in 10-Willong DCC village, which is known by all for his wonderful records of executing developmental works within 5 years.
The new playneld will be the venue for the 28th edition of Willong circle sports to be organised by WCYSO at Pumdumlong village from next week, he added.
Unveiling the playground inaugural stone, Robert Maram also informed that PHE minister Losii Dikho assured of providing water supply to every household of Pumdumlong, Willong Khunou,.
Kamalong and Sangkunglung villages under NDB funding which is expected to start from this month.
In this regard, the minister also appealed for cooperation of the villagers to effectively implement the said projects.
In response to request of the villagers for fencing the new playground, the NPF leader assured of providing the material for the purpose.
Former ADC member Rangpung John lauded the Pumdumlong villagers for extending maximum support in the development of the new playground.
While lauding the Willong circle villagers comprising seven villages, the former MKS & SDSA president highlighted that during his ADC tenure many projects were implemented with the cooperation of all villages despite his weakness and shortcomings.
Rangpung John further appealed to all to continue extending support to any developmental works.
The programme was attended by villagers from different areas, Maram Union leaders, Willong Circle leaders, women & youth leaders, village and church leaders.
